Hingsel

Hingsel is a traditional Bhutanese film, a romantic tragedy set in a most remote village in Bhutan. A man finds a lost young boy after a local festival and brings him and his mother into his home to work as servants. The young boy grows up with the two other children in the household, Hingsel and Nendra. When they are older, the boy falls in love with Hingsel but Nendra disapproves. Nendra challenges the young lover to go prove himself to be good enough to be with Hingsel.
