Amin Payne

Hailing from New Zealand and a veteran in Australia’s instrumental hip-hop scene, Amin Payne has built a prolific reputation as a producer, live artist and daring experimenter of sounds. With academic background in sound design, Amin Payne is a also a member of The Operatives, Cascade Records and co-foudner of Condensed Milk. His music spans many genres of music, from soul, future funk and hip-hop to deep house and World Music fusion, and he is also renowned for his ability to perform live with a drum machine next to orchestras and traditional ensembles as well as Sikh and Muslim spoken word artists. Amin’s latest collaborative work which was a part of Multicultural Arts Victoria’s cross-cultural program is an ode to his ability to merge traditional and modern music in innovative ways.
